I made this account almost five years ago. Half a decade. It's amazing thinking about how much time has past since then. Even more amazing looking back into my gallery and seeing what I've done, how I've improved.
Obviously that early stuff is quite embarrassing to me now, but I feel it's important to show how far I've come. So instead of deleting them, I'll put them in another folder.
I've got a tablet now, and while I still have a long way to go, and lots to learn, I want to continue to do art. More specifically digital art, and I want to start uploading more here. I've been very sporadic with uploading, and I've never gone anywhere with my work, never found an audience. Which is fine, my work wasn't up to snuff, there were better artists out there.
But now I want to become consistent. While I'd love to get more watchers who want to view my work, I know that's not as important as wanting to do the work. As doing the work. Now that I have a tablet, I no longer have an excuse for not creating more art.
I've always listed art as a hobby for me, and that's still true. But I do want to use that art to tell stories. But only when I've gotten to a point where I feel like I can pull off a consistent style and ethic.
I might not get a lot of attention, but I want to at least have something of a portfolio that I can be proud of.
